Mercedes Classe S - Video tutorial

Model: Mercedes Classe S MK 3, W140 - Years 1991-1998
Part: Brake discs
Operation: Replacement discs and rear pads

Raise the car on a lift and remove the rear wheel. Using a pin punch of the appropriate diameter, first extract the upper pin fixing the pads, remove the retaining spring and the lower pin; before removing the pads, use a screwdriver to pry up the brake caliper piston. Then proceed with the disassembly of the caliper (unscrew the two rear fixing pins) and of the disc (unscrew the hexagonal pin that fixes the disc to the hub). Clean the new disc from the protective oil and fix it to the hub; reposition the caliper, insert the new pads, the lower pin, the spring and the upper pin.
