This video shows how to replace the heating bulbs of the Mercedes SLK R171. Take two plastic cards and use them, as shown in the video, to gently remove the temperature control knob located at the centre of the dashboard. Pry around the perimeter of the knob until it completely detaches from its housing. As seen in the video, the maintenance system reveals an anomaly in the electrical system. It is actually a small bulb that needs replacing inside the temperature gauge. Replace it with a new one, and the problem is solved.
