Tips for Removing and Replacing Spark Plugs

First, perform this maintenance with the engine cold to avoid unpleasant burns. In the case of this vehicle, the ignition coils and spark plug connectors form a single block enclosed in a rectangular plastic element, which is covered by a protective cover; once the protective cover is removed, unscrew the fastening pins of the ignition coils (these are fairly long pins), disconnect the side connector, and pull the entire block upward. At this point, you can proceed with removing and replacing the spark plugs: blow into the spark plug holes before removing them to eliminate any dirt that could fall into the cylinders.
