Door Lock Repair

If the lock moves erratically up and down when pressing the remote control button to open or close the car, there is a problem with the lock that can be repaired without replacing the entire lock, but you need to remove the door panel. Once the lock is disassembled, remove the plastic cover by unscrewing the screws and opening the side tabs, disconnect the cable and the safety catch: inside the lock, you will find a broken plastic gear and springs that have come loose; insert the new gear after applying grease and reattach the springs, then reconnect the cable, the safety catch, and refit the plastic cover.
