Engine Mount Replacement

The failure of the mount (better known as a rubber bushing) is a common issue and manifests as noticeable noise, especially when driving on rough surfaces: the degradation of the rubber part no longer dampens the vibrations, resulting in a "THUMP-THUMP" sound coming from the engine compartment. For this vehicle, the replacement is particularly straightforward since there is enough space in the engine compartment to access the mounting bolts of the mount. Simply place a jack under the engine to lift it just enough to remove the old mount; then insert the new one, lower the engine, and tighten the mounting bolt.
