How to Use the Jack on a Mercedes C-Class W202

Model: Mercedes Classe C W202 - Years 1993-2000
Part: Checks and maintenance

To use the jack, the Mercedes C-Class has a designated housing, which you can access by removing a small cover. This is specifically designed to insert the jack without damaging the bodywork. First, ensure the parking brake is firmly engaged, and then block the wheels to prevent rolling. Before lifting the car, loosen the wheel nuts slightly. The jack is located in the trunk, under the carpet cover, and the handle serves as a hook to hold the cover up. In the bag, you will find a wheel wrench and a centering pin. Installing the jack is quite simple; remove the cover from the attachment point mentioned earlier and insert the jack. Remember that the centering pin is necessary when replacing the wheel. To lower the wheel, simply do the opposite of what you just did. When tightening the bolts, do not over-tighten; just ensure they are securely closed.
