Fastening Under Hood Insulation

Under the front hood, there is a sound-absorbing insulation made of sponge-like material that deteriorates over time until it crumbles completely; however, replacement insulation is readily available and should be secured with adhesive: it is recommended to use spray adhesive. Start by removing any remnants of the old insulation from under the hood, thoroughly cleaning the surface with solvent; then spray the adhesive both under the hood and on the insulation evenly, allow it to dry, and apply the insulation by pressing it down uniformly to ensure a perfect bond.
