This short video tutorial explains how to disable the passenger airbag on the Mercedes SL. Typically, the passenger side airbag is deactivated when you need to place a child seat in the front passenger seat. First, remove the metal key from the remote's shell to make it easier to insert into the airbag lock. Next, insert the key into the airbag lock located on the dashboard on the passenger side near the corresponding button. Turn the key to the right until you hear a click, indicating that the airbag is disabled. To reactivate it, simply insert the key and turn it to the left. When you hear the click, it means the airbag is reactivated.
