How to Check if the Alternator is Charging on the Mercedes Sprinter

In this guide, we will see how to check if the alternator of your Mercedes Sprinter is charging correctly, without any tools, just using the hidden menu of the vehicle. Turn on the instrument cluster and put the key in the second position. On the left side of the instrument cluster, there are two buttons: one is marked with an "m" and the other with an "o". Use the latter, holding it down until you hear a "beep" (this takes about 15 seconds). When you hear this signal, press the "m" button, which will bring up a menu that you can scroll through (by pressing the "m" button) where you can also check the oil level and battery voltage. To know if the alternator is charging, check that when you start the engine, the battery voltage increases, indicating that the alternator is charging correctly.
