How to Unlock Apple CarPlay on Mercedes A/B Class and CLA

In this video, see how to unlock Apple CarPlay on the Mercedes A/B Class and CLA. First, turn on the instrument cluster, then press this combination of three buttons together: red phone + 1 + # for eight seconds. A hidden menu will appear. If it doesn't appear, the device needs to be formatted, and the procedure will need to be repeated. Navigate to "variant coding" using the joystick on the center console. This function must be unlocked using this procedure: go to "system," then "logging" until you reach "enable log marks," pressing it until it turns orange. Go back to "variant coding," which you can now select. Go to "page 2," scroll to the bottom of the page, and in "remote application," activate all three options provided. At the bottom of "Android Auto Drive Levels," select "set page." Now restart the radio by holding the center button until it turns off. The system will now restart with CarPlay (works only with the cable connected).
