To replace the door lock actuator on a Mercedes E-Class, loosen all the screws that secure the door panel to its housing: once all these screws are loosened, you can detach the panel and access the underlying components. On the left side of the door, you will locate the lock actuator, which needs to be removed from its housing by unscrewing the mounting screws and disconnecting the related connectors. This way, you can connect the new actuator and secure it with the screws, then cover everything with the door panel.
