Let's see how to remove the radio from the central console of this Mercedes R129 version: we will need to insert the special keys into the appropriate holes in order to allow the radio to come out of its housing; as soon as a sufficient part of the radio has come out, we can easily pull it out with our hands. Disconnect all the electrical connectors that are behind it. Put a hand inside the compartment and push the climate control unit from the back towards the outside. Here too, remove all the connectors. Now remove the lower compartment, where the ashtray is located. We will need to remove some screws; then remove the fixing bolts through the panel openings. Now we can pull the wooden console towards us, which is freed from the bolts; but let's remove all the remaining connectors.
