Replacing the Suspension Arm of Your Car

The suspension arm of the car connects the frame to the struts. It can bend due to an impact or wear out, in which case it needs to be replaced. A defective arm can lead to a dangerous loss of vehicle control. This is not a very complicated job and can be done independently. This guide shows how to change the arm. Lift the car with a jack. Remove the hubcap, then take off the wheel and the bolts. Use two wrenches to disconnect the stabilizer link, which can be removed without fear of breaking it. Once the joint is removed, the suspension arm will be in front of you, secured with screws, and can be extracted.
