How to Change the Front Brake Discs and Pads on a Mercedes GL

Model: Mercedes Gl MK 1, X164 - Years 2006-2012

To replace the front brake discs and pads on this car model, it is advisable to lift it on a ramp and remove the front wheel; then disconnect the wear sensor connector first from the pads and then from the wiring; remove the protective caps from the caliper fastening pins and take off the caliper to remove the old pads; proceed to remove the caliper support and then the disc fastening screw on the hub; clean and grease the disc seat before installing the new one, removing any protective oil; then work in reverse for the installation of the new pads.
