How to Remove Diesel Injectors from the Mercedes A-Class

Model: Mercedes Classe A W168 - Years 1997-2004

A common issue with this car model is the loss of seal on the injectors. With the engine running, open the hood and you may notice a mist of diesel fuel leaking from the base of the injectors where they connect to the cylinder head. It is quite frequent to find the engine bay dirty and to smell diesel fuel even inside the cabin. This problem can be resolved by replacing the sealing ring. Disconnect the line that connects the rail to the injector, then proceed to remove the injector itself and reassemble it with a new sealing ring.
