In this video, learn how to fix the electric trunk lid issue on the C-Class W204, where you hear the motor running but the rear hatch does not open. Since the motor is functioning, the problem is not with this component: you need to locate the fuse found in the fuse box located in the trunk of the vehicle, on the right side, behind a carpeted cover that hides it from view.

Remove the cover, and the fuse is number 61, rated at 400 Amps, and is orange: it is the fifth one down in the first vertical row.
