How to Remove the Airbag from a Mercedes A-Class

To remove the steering wheel airbag from a Mercedes A-Class vehicle, model W169, get inside the vehicle and sit in the driver's seat. Using a 25 mm wrench, remove the screw located inside the right hole and then inside the left hole of the steering wheel.

After removing the screws, you can pull out the steering wheel assembly. Then, using a flathead screwdriver, disconnect the airbag connector, first the orange connector and then the green one. Disconnect the connector for the horn and remove the airbag.

To remove the steering wheel, simply loosen the central nut and then take off the steering wheel.
