How to Open the Bonnet on a Mini

To open the bonnet on a Mini: Pull the plastic lever located at the bottom left of the dashboard, then lift the bonnet slightly and pull the release lever to the left. Once the engine bonnet is unlocked: lift it upwards and secure it with the prop rod. Now that the engine bonnet is open, you can perform necessary maintenance on the reservoirs and engine. To close the bonnet: remove the prop rod and let the bonnet drop from a minimal height. Ensure it is properly closed.
