Mini - Video tutorial

Model: Mini Mini R52, R50, R53 - Years 2001-2007
Part: Steering wheel
Operation: Steering wheel removal instructions with airbag

Open the front hood and make sure that it is supported in a safe condition to disconnect the positive pole of the battery (to prevent any warning lights from turning on). In order to remove the steering wheel, first remove the airbag which is screwed to the steering wheel: on the rear part of the steering wheel there are two access holes in which to insert the torx key to unscrew these screws. Once the airbag has been removed from the steering wheel, disconnect the detonator sockets by first pulling out the safety lock. At this point it is possible to unscrew the fixing pin of the steering wheel and extract it: it is advisable to remove the steering wheel with straight wheels and to mark a reference with a marker.

Let's see below how it is possible to reset the low tire pressure signal on the car: first of all it is necessary to check the correct tire pressure by comparing it with the pressures reported in the use and maintenance manual.
