Replacing Steering Wheel Airbag on Mini Cars

Model: Mini Mini R56, R55, R57 - Years 2007-2014

For safety reasons, start by lifting the bonnet and disconnecting the battery: remember to always remove the negative terminal first, and then the positive. At the bottom of the steering column, there is a hole, as you can see in the video. Insert a small flat screwdriver into this hole and push it all the way in: here you will find a small lever to push. Once you succeed, you will see the central airbag of the steering wheel come out of its housing. Using the small screwdriver, disconnect the connector and the other wire, and your airbag will be completely free. Proceed in reverse for reassembly.
