How to replace brake light bulbs in Mini Cooper?

Model: Mini Mini R56, R57, R55 - Years 2007-2014
Part: Light bulb

To replace the stop light bulb in the Mini Cooper R56 it is necessary to disassemble the entire rear light. We start by removing the chromed plastic part installed around the light so that we can access the three screws underneath and unscrew them. Once these three elements have been removed, the headlight can be released by pulling it outwards with your hands. At this point we can choose whether to disconnect the electrical plugs and remove the entire headlight or whether to open it and replace the stop light bulb without leaving the car. Once the replacement has been made, we can reassemble the headlight following the reverse procedure.

To carry out this operation, locate the position of the filter for replacement. It is situated behind the small glove compartment in front of the front passenger seat. Open the compartment and push the two side parts to release the latch, allowing you to remove it completely. This will enable you to push the clips that secure the filter cover. Remove the cover and extract the filter, taking care to note the orientation of the filter. Reinstall the new filter in the correct direction.
