Why does the brake fluid level drop?

In this video, you will learn why the brake fluid level drops: excluding faults in the system, which require immediate attention from a mechanic, there is a technical reason for the drop in brake fluid level: the brake pads wear down over time, and the level needs to be restored. This should be checked periodically and replaced at least every two years. If the pads are heavily worn, the fluid level can drop quickly, and to find the suitable type of fluid marked with the DOT label, it is advisable to consult the owner's manual. The reservoir is located in the engine bay, and the level is marked on the reservoir itself; do not exceed the maximum level. The fluid is highly corrosive, so be very careful not to spill it on painted parts. If the level drops again, there is a problem with the braking system that must be checked by a mechanic.
