How to Remove the Air Filter Hose from a Mini

How do you maintain your Mini? This video explains how to remove an air filter hose. Open the car door and pull up the engine bay release lever located at the bottom left of the dashboard, then lift the front bonnet and secure it. To remove the hose, you need to take out the left headlamp.

Use a socket wrench to unscrew all the bolts around the headlamp perimeter, then pull the headlamp out with the power connector. Use a pry bar to leverage the air hose out of its guide, removing it from both sides.

Once done, fit the new air filter piece at both ends. If you find any broken plastic clips, follow the video instructions to reform the pin housing.

Refit the headlamp with the bolts and the light connector.
