The steps in this guide will show you how to open the bonnet of the Mitsubishi Outlander, as well as the ASX. First, open the driver's side front door and pull the lever located at the bottom near the pedals; then move to the front of the vehicle and release the catch situated between the bonnet and the bumper, as shown in the video.

At this point, lift the bonnet to secure it, gaining access to the engine bay; to close the bonnet, simply lower it, applying some pressure until it clicks shut.
