How to Replace the Cabin Air Filter on a Mitsubishi Outlander and PHEV

This guide shows how to change the cabin air filter on a Mitsubishi Outlander and PHEV. The filter drawer is located behind the glove compartment, so the first step is to empty it. Then, press inwards on both sides to release the clip locks on the right and left. Disconnect the left gas strut (it slides out of its housing) and fully lower the glove compartment. Behind it, you will find the rectangular filter cover; unlock the latch and remove it. Take out the old filter and note the orientation of the arrows. Clean the container thoroughly from dust, leaves, and debris, and place the new filter in, ensuring the orientation is the same. Close the cover, reattach the gas strut, and put the glove compartment back in place. That's it.
