The first thing to do to carry out this operation is to lift the car safely. Since you will also need to remove the tires, the best thing to do is to put a pair of them to act as spacers. Carefully clean the rear brake drum. It must be perfectly clean before being painted. Mask the bolts carefully, otherwise the increase in thickness will not allow them to fit back into their holes. Mask the body and fender with cardboard or thick paper and apply a primer and then let it dry well. Then apply the red color, glossy or matte, of your choice. The YouTubers chose a glossy finish, as they then applied a gloss. Now you can reassemble the tire and rim, which will show off the bright red drum.

Replace the steering angle sensor on the Volkswagen Golf 5

When the steering angle sensor malfunction warning light comes on, it may need to be replaced as follows: first remove the steering wheel and the lower steering wheel guard by removing the three fixing screws. The steering sensor is located just below the steering column. To release it you need to have a small screwdriver and insert it into the hole on the front, push the screwdriver all the way down until the clips at the bottom are released. Next, pull down on the back of the card containing the sensor and disengage it from the steering column. At that point take the new card and reposition it, after which proceed backwards to reassemble the various components.
