How to reset the "Service" light on a Mitsubishi Outlander?

To reset the "Service" light on a Mitsubishi Outlander, start by pressing and holding the reset button located under the left side of the instrument panel. While continuing to hold the reset button, turn on the instrument panel without starting the engine. Keep holding the reset button until the "Service" light starts flashing and then turns off. Once the light turns off, release the reset button. Turn off the instrument panel and then turn it back on to verify that the "Service" light has been successfully reset. If done correctly, the light should no longer turn on.
