Regarding the location of the fuse boxes on the X-Trail, the first box is found in the thickness of the dashboard, next to the left door, behind a plastic panel, and you will need to remove the cover using a plastic tool. This is for left-hand drive. For right-hand drive, the box is located behind the glove compartment. In the engine compartment, there is a second box, on the left side of the engine, just behind the left front headlamp. There are also fuses on the battery, physically connected to the positive terminal: these are high-power fuses.
