The helper should hold the boot open and steady: work on one side at a time and start by removing the old support from the top using an 11 mm spanner; unscrew the nut that secures the support ball to the boot (it may pop off violently on the last turn, so be very careful!). For the bottom, use a 10 mm spanner to unscrew the bolt that secures the other end of the support to the frame. Once unscrewed from both sides, remove the old support. Clean the mounting seats well and start reassembling from the bottom by inserting the new support with its bolt and washer into the lower arm hole by hand, then tighten it to 10 Nm. With the helper slightly lifting the boot to align the ball, click the upper end of the support onto the ball of the boot; repeat on the other side and test the boot to ensure it stays open by itself.
