Operation: How to reset the airbag fault warning light

If there is an anomaly in the airbag system, when the ignition is switched on, the airbag warning light remains steady on for seven seconds, goes off and then starts flashing: there is a manual reset method which consists of a precise sequence of ignitions and switch offs. 1) turn on the ignition without starting the engine: the AIR BAG warning light stays on for 7 seconds and then goes off, then turn off the ignition within 1 second, before the warning light starts flashing. 2) Wait 4 seconds, switch on the ignition without starting the engine: the AIR BAG light stays on for 7 seconds and then goes off, then switch off the ignition within 1 second, before the light starts flashing. 3) Wait 4 seconds, turn on the ignition without starting the engine: the AIR BAG light stays on for 7 seconds and then goes off, then switch off the ignition within 1 second, before the light starts flashing. 4) Wait 4 seconds, turn on the ignition without starting the engine: the AIR BAG light stays on for 7 seconds and then goes off, then switch off the ignition within 1 second, before the light starts flashing. 5) Wait 3 seconds, turn the ignition on, turn it off within 2 seconds and then turn it back on: during this last phase the light stays on all the time and then goes off definitively.

How do you replace the battery of the BMW R 1250 GS?

In order to replace the battery of the BMW R 1250 GS it is necessary to loosen the bolts that secure the casing positioned on the left side of the bike, so that its cover can be removed. Once this has been removed, you will be able to access the components below, including the battery. The latter must be removed from its housing by disconnecting the power cables and unscrewing the appropriate fixing bolts. In this way it will be possible to insert a new battery, properly fixing it and connecting it to the relative cables, covering everything with the casing.
