How to Replace the Key Battery on Nissan Leaf

Changing the ignition key battery on a Nissan car is extremely simple. On the back, there is a small switch to push, allowing you to slide out the manual key (set it aside). As clearly shown in the video, now split the key in half (use a small flat screwdriver, it will take a second) separating the part with the buttons from the part where you removed the manual spare key. Voila! Now you will find your battery. Simply lift it out with your fingers and place the new one in its place. Reassemble the two parts of the key and insert the manual key; job done!
