Half Shaft Boot Replacement Instructions

Model: Nissan Micra K11 - Years 1992-2002

Before lifting the vehicle, it is advisable to remove the safety clip from the central nut of the half shaft and loosen the nut as well as the wheel fastening bolts. At this point, lift the vehicle and proceed to remove the bolts that secure the shock absorber to the hub support; then extract the hub from the half shaft. Remove the fastening clips of the boot, slide it back, and extract the CV joint from the shaft (it is secured by a retaining ring).
Insert the new boot onto the shaft; apply grease inside the joint and fit it onto the shaft; then position the boot and secure it with the clips (preferably use metal clips rather than plastic ones).
Reassemble the half shaft into the hub and the hub itself (apply a new safety clip).
