This guide shows how to open the Nissan Micra and start it when the smart remote battery is not working. The main cause of the malfunction is a dead battery.

First, extract the emergency key from the remote and turn it towards the rear of the vehicle to open the doors. At this point, to turn on the instrument cluster, bring the remote as close as possible to the start button and perform the starting procedure as usual.

An incorrect recognition code message may appear on the screen, but it will turn off after a few seconds. Another possible issue is a fault with the intelligent key ECU; for this problem, it is best to consult a qualified technician.
