How to Replace the Battery and Repair the Two-Button Remote for Nissan

This guide shows how to replace the battery of the two-button remote and its switches for Nissan. The necessary tools are: a small flat screwdriver, tweezers, wire cutters, a CR2025 battery, a soldering iron, and the replacement parts. On the back, use the screwdriver to pry open the remote. With the screwdriver, remove the two retaining clips of the remote cover. Once the integrated circuit is removed from the housing, disconnect the battery terminal and begin replacing the switches. Use the soldering iron to melt the solder on both pins of the switch and then remove it. At this point, apply some solder to one of the pads of both switches; position the new parts and solder them in place. Cut the plastic pin on the remote button to adjust its positioning. Reassemble everything following the disassembly procedure.
