When the key battery on Nissan vehicles stops working, it means you need to replace the battery. Start the battery replacement by pressing the button on the back of the remote cover to remove the emergency metal key. Next, insert a flat-head screwdriver into the right inner side of the remote to lever it open and remove the battery.

Finish by inserting the new battery to close the remote and reinsert the key. Then, go near the vehicle to test its functionality.

Next, locate the release lever on the underside of the rear seat, near the floor. Press this lever down while pulling the seat upwards to unlock it from the anchor pins.
