Changing Brake Discs and Pads

Model: Nissan Almera N16, MK 2 - Years 2000-2008

To change the brake pads, first lift the vehicle on a support and remove the wheel from the axle in question. Use a large screwdriver to push the piston back into its resting position, then unscrew the lower part of the bracket, unscrew the screws, and remove the clips and springs to extract the brake pads from the caliper. Once you have replaced the discs and pads, reposition them in the caliper, and to fit the new ones, simply reassemble the springs and clips. It is also advisable to press the brake pedal until it becomes firm so that the pads and disc come close enough to allow for proper braking.
