Procedure to replace the oil filter and engine oil in a Nissan Micra.

The first step is to position the vehicle on a lift and raise it, or use a hydraulic jack and place safety stands under the vehicle. The next step is to take a special spanner to unscrew the filter and loosen the oil filter, continuing to unscrew it manually. Position a container for the used oil under the oil filter; once you have removed the oil filter, place it inside the container, replace the old filter with the new one, and screw it in. Unscrew the oil drain plug using a 14mm combination spanner, place a container for the used oil under the oil drain plug, and wait for all the oil to drain out. Replace the drain plug and tighten it using the 14mm spanner. Clean the plug and insert a new O-ring. Lower the vehicle and top up the engine oil using a funnel to facilitate the operation.
