In this video tutorial, we can see how to replace the oil filter and how to top up the engine oil in the Nissan Micra, following a few simple steps: firstly, we need to lift the car with a hydraulic jack and place support stands for our safety; position a container for the used oil under the oil pan; unscrew the oil filter, remove it from its seat and replace it with a new one and put a new gasket. Once the new filter is screwed in, unscrew the drain plug using a 14mm wrench, let the oil drain into the container for the used oil, then clean the plug and insert a new O-ring. Lower the car, lift the hood and secure it with a special rod, top up the engine oil (5w-40) using a funnel; reposition the oil plug and then start the engine for a few minutes. After 5 minutes of stopping the engine, we must check the engine oil level using the oil dipstick and add oil if necessary.
