How to Replace the Key Battery in a Nissan Qashqai

To replace the battery in the Nissan Qashqai key, follow this procedure: First, open the key as if inserting it into the ignition using the button. Once open, use a flathead screwdriver to apply pressure on the part of the key where the keyring attachment is located, then pry it open to remove the cover. Once the cover is off, use the screwdriver to extract the key battery. The battery is a CR2032. After replacing the key battery, reapply the cover by pressing it back into place. The procedure takes little time to complete.
