To replace the key battery on a Nissan Qashqai J10, locate the tiny screw on the bottom of the key and open it to access the battery. You will need a jeweller's screwdriver to open the remote and change the battery, which is a CR 2016. You can easily find the replacement battery at any supermarket or newsagent for a few pounds.

Once the old battery is removed, place the new one in, ensuring the correct polarity, and close the key by tightening the screw with the screwdriver. The operation is complete.
