Diesel Filter Replacement Instructions

Model: Nissan X Trail MK 2, T31 - Years 2007-2014
Part: Diesel fuel filter

The diesel filter is located just behind the coolant reservoir, directly in front of the right front shock absorber dome (passenger side); disconnect the filter's filling pump and remove the relevant support bracket; loosen the filter's support clamp and apply paper or rags around the filter to absorb any diesel that may spill when disconnecting the pipes; then disconnect the pipes by pressing on the relevant locking tabs, remove the filter from its place, extract the retaining clip to move the plastic fitting to the new filter if it is not already present, and proceed in reverse to install it. Once secured in its place and the pipes connected, use the manual pump to fill the filter before starting the engine.
