Nissan Qashqai - Video tutorial
Model: Nissan Qashqai
J10
- Years 2006-2014 In this video tutorial, we can see how to replace the battery in a first-generation Nissan Qashqai, following some simple steps: the first thing to do is to get into the car, turn off the engine, and engage the handbrake. Lift the hood and secure it with the appropriate rod. The battery is located on the right side of the engine compartment. To remove the battery, you need to unscrew the support bar. To do this, use a socket wrench with a 10mm insert to loosen the two fixing bolts. Once the bolts are removed, you can take off the support bar. First, remove the negative terminal (do not start with the positive terminal because the entire car is connected to the negative terminal: it could generate dangerous sparks for the car's electrical system). To do this, use a 10mm wrench. Once the cable is removed, keep it well separated for the safety of the electrical system. Once both terminals of the battery are removed, you can take the battery out of its compartment. Scrape the inside of the clamps with sandpaper to remove the layer of white oxide that could cause long-term damage. Apply copper grease to the clamps of the new battery to improve cable contact and limit oxidation. Install the new battery and connect the positive terminal first, then the negative one.

Frequently Asked QuestionsHandbrake adjustment on Ford EcosportFirst remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base. by ScegliAuto More videos
