How to Replace the Remote Control Battery on a Nissan Note

Replacing the battery in the remote control (or proximity key, as it can be kept in your pocket to unlock the vehicle and start the engine without inserting a key) is very simple. Start by removing the front part of the remote, which is just a cap protecting the emergency metal key: remove it by opening the tab and sliding the cap sideways. At this point, the slot is visible for prying apart the remote shells to access the battery compartment for replacement. Then, reassemble the shells by reapplying the cap.
