To extract the wheel-side CV joint from the driveshaft, it is advisable to use the appropriate tool that allows you to pull it out without risking pushing the joint out from the gearbox side, which would cause oil to leak; therefore, lift the vehicle on a ramp, remove the wheel, the driveshaft nut from the hub, and disconnect the ball joint from the hub support to extract the driveshaft; then slide off the boot and apply the puller by first securing the collar to the driveshaft and then extracting the joint by tightening the nut at the front.
