This article will show you how to reset the service light, specifically the service engine soon light, on a 2008 Nissan Sentra. To reset this light, first turn on the ignition without starting the engine, then wait exactly 3 seconds.

At this point, press the accelerator pedal down fully 5 times within 5 seconds. Now wait exactly 7 seconds, then press and hold the accelerator pedal for 10 seconds.

At this point, the SES light will start to blink; when the light starts blinking, release the pedal and restart the ignition. Now the procedure will be complete.

It is recommended to perform this procedure only after taking the car to a shop for diagnosis.
