What does the Opel Insigna's code 128 indicate?

Error code 128 appears on the display of the instrument panel of the Opel Insignia model mk2 when the front hood is open. To remove the code, simply turn off the instrument panel, close the hood, and turn on the panel again. If the error code continues to appear, it means that there is a problem with decoding the message by the control unit.
