Oil change and filter on an Opel Corsa C 1.7 DI

In this video we will see how to change the oil and filter on an Opel Corsa C 1.7 DI: we open the hood and remove the oil filler cap to facilitate draining. It is advisable to add a detergent to ensure that all residues are removed along with the old oil: we can find it for example on Amazon with code B09J6619WZ at a price of 15.95, with free delivery for Prime customers. We drain the oil into a suitable container that we will then dispose of at an authorized center. The drain plug and its gasket must always be replaced when changing the oil; we tighten it without overdoing it. To change the filter, we will still need the container, as we will still lose oil. We will need a ratchet with extension and a 32 socket wrench; we unlock the filter, remove it from the engine and place it in the container. We remove the filter from the cover and the two o-rings from the filter rod, and the gasket from the flange collar, which we will clean with a brake cleaner. We take the new filter and lubricate the gaskets with clean oil before putting them in place, then we insert the filter and put it in place, tightening it to 25 Nm. We lower the car and refill the oil in the engine. We pour the oil according to the specifications in the user manual and pour only 90% of the indicated quantity. We measure with the dipstick and then top up according to needs, checking again.
