How to repair the loose gear lever on an Opel/Vauxhall Mokka X

In this video, we see how to repair the gear lever that may have become loose on an Opel/Vauxhall Mokka X: we see that the lever is loose and cannot engage the gears. We then open the front hood, remove the battery protection plate, disconnect the negative pole first, then the positive one, and remove the battery, as well as the control unit that is inserted vertically on the left side. We also remove the lower battery plate; this is necessary to reach the connection wire of the gearbox with the control that goes to the gearbox itself, which we see had detached from its support. In this case, the culprit was a worn gasket: a component worth a few euros, which once replaced makes it possible to reattach the plate and make the lever work normally.
