How to replace the timing belt of Opel vehicles

Model: Vauxhall Opel Various
Part: Timing belt

Video tutorial

Today we will explain how to replace the timing belt on Opel vehicles, thanks to our short video tutorial that will illustrate the steps to follow. To replace the timing belt, we need to open the front hood and using a torque wrench, loosen the belt tensioner pulley.

We remove the timing belt from its housing. We lubricate the new belt with oil, so that it slides better into its housing, then tighten the belt tensioner pulley and close the front hood once the job is done.

It may be necessary during this operation to also replace the pulley.

To remove the rear seat of a Hyundai Tucson, follow these steps. Start by moving the front seats to their most forward position to gain space. Next, locate the release lever on the underside of the rear seat, near the floor. Press this lever down while pulling the seat upwards to unlock it from the anchor pins. Once unlocked, tilt the seat upwards and forwards to remove it from its position. Repeat this process for both sides of the rear seat.
