How does the adaptive cruise control work on the Opel Insignia?

In this video, we see how the adaptive cruise control works on Opel vehicles, specifically on the Opel Insigna: the system is activated using the ACC button on the steering wheel, and a white icon lights up, along with other information displayed on the dashboard in front of the steering wheel. The system can be active between 30 and 180 km/h; while driving, set the desired speed and the distance you want the car to maintain with the vehicle in front. If you have an automatic transmission, your car can come to a stop and resume driving autonomously. To adjust the distance with the vehicle in front, press the dedicated button repeatedly, and from the display, you can see which of the three options (long, medium, short) you have chosen. The speed can also be adjusted using the dial, or it can be temporarily ignored by firmly pressing the accelerator pedal; when you release the pedal, the function automatically reactivates. To deactivate the system, press "cancel" on the steering wheel or press the brake pedal.
